I am still in awe of the Lord’s graciousness to us. My husband and I started dating in 2008 and the Lord used our relationship to turn my focus back to Him. Therefore, my questionable behavior doesn’t matter because it will lead to my happiness.” But, the Lord wasn’t finished writing my story. I told myself, “Because God loves me, He wants me to be happy.

While in college, I chose to believe a lie that would have a devastating impact on that time in my life. I was baptized and had a relationship with Jesus. I grew up in Parker County in a Christian home and, at a young age, accepted Christ as my Savior.

In my free time, I’m usually reading an assortment of books – most are picture books - but I’m also a part of two different (grown-up) book clubs. My husband, Phillip, and I have two boys, Linus and Simon. I’m excited to see how the Holy Spirit moves in those women’s lives and be a part of something that is making Christ known in Fort Worth. I am excited to be serving in Women’s Ministry, because, not only is it a chance to serve alongside Kathy Harrelson, but I get to see what God is doing in our ministry downtown with the women who are coming to Common Ground and Women in the Workplace. I loved the fact that Christ Chapel is a church that stands firmly on Scripture, and that it seeks to deeply understand the theology of salvation and make Christ known. I started attending Christ Chapel when I came to college as a freshman and was immediately challenged. From then on I started reading my Bible with a new light, the Holy Spirit transformed my heart, and gave me a desire to know Christ more and walk with Him daily. In that moment the Holy Spirit illuminated my heart, revealed to my need for a Savior and I accepted Christ. His presentation included a very clear description of how sin is part of us and entraps us, and how we can’t free ourselves from it.

When I was in high school a friend who had a magic ministry did a show at our church for the kids and I got to watch. I was very aware of a God who was loving and had a role in history, but that felt distant to me. He is survived by his children Jesse (Colleen) Wilcox, Emilie (Marty) Heggie grandchildren Conner, Dallie, Jacob and William siblings Gertrude (Rob) Coultard, Emma Lou Collins, Leroy Earl Bolton, Bruce Alvin Bolton, Jacqueline (Tom) King, Janet (Jerry) Collins, Robert Dee Bolton, Billy (Sandi Jo) Bolton and many nieces and nephews.I was raised in a home where we talked a lot about the Bible and God, but I did not have an understanding of my need for a Savior and my role in sin. He is preceded in death by his parents William Earl and Ruby Catherine Bolton siblings Harvey Eugene Bolton, Lilac May (Lila) Dinsdale, Gerald Allen Bolton, Lloyd Irving Bolton, Charles (Chuck) Edward Bolton. Joe had an amazing way of showing unconditional love to his kids and grandkids. Although Joe never had kids of his own, he had a special role in raising Jesse and Emilie. He was a kind and gentle man that had a special place in his heart for good horses, cow dogs and kids. Green River was home to Joe, and to know him was to be his friend, he especially cherished his friendship with Chet (Brenna) Hunt and family.

Joe never missed a chance to crack a joke or tell a good story. Not only was Joe a cowboy, but he also spent many years of his life farming for the Vetere and Dunham families in Green River. Joe was one of the last cowboys to trail cattle down Desolation Canyon. He was a very loyal cowboy and was always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. Following that, he worked for three generations of Wilcox’s on their ranching operation. After graduating high school, Joe worked in the Uranium Mines on the San Rafael Swell near Green River. Joe was born on July 30th, 1954 in Grand Junction, Colorado to William Earl and Ruby Catherine Bolton and was one of fourteen siblings. Bolton, age 66, saddled up and took his final ride to see new country in Heaven on October 29th, 2020.Ī celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 14th, at the Green River Bible Church, 375 West Main Street in Green River, Utah.
